Why there are two text files called original_hexdata.txt and modified_hexdata.txt in my Simcity 3000 game folder?
Before and after patching SC3U.exe executable my python script will save a log of how the data stored in the executable was before modifying it and how it is now. You are free to delete it if you want.
My game is crashing when I´m activating resolution 1600x900 or X. Why is that? Did your patch broke my game?
As stated above resolutions that are not divisible by 8 are likely to make the game unstable thus crashing it.

You can pick any resolution to play the game as long as its a number divisible by 8I cant play my linux version in HD or 4k are you going to make a patch for the Linux version?
Its possible to run the game in Full HD through the sc3u.dynamic executable. With it you can play the game in resolutions such as 1080P(1920x1080) or even higher 4K. However the sc3u.dynamic is known for being unstable or not run at all in some Debian based distros dont run it well. I´ve just recently made a patch for the Windows version to run in Full HD. When I have some more free time again I will try to dig through the files of the linux version to study them more. And then I will try to make a patch for the standard linux executable of the game to run in Full HD.
In the meantime I recommend you to try to use the sc3u.dynamic to try to run it in 1080P or higher resolutions or just wait until I make a patch.

SimCity 3000 Unlimited comes with its fair share of realistic simulation, from taxes to recreational areas, landfills, and city suggestions. It’s not just about making your city look beautiful, you must balance the city between a multitude of factors. Between crime, cleanliness, satisfaction, and traffic, there are many micro manageable settings the user has to adjust. For instance, maybe you would like to implement certain fines or taxes that would benefit the city but may reduce satisfaction. Or implementing more police stations would decrease the amount of crime in that area but may come with its fair share of complaints.
Graphics
The graphics one-up the graphics in SimCity 2000, naturally the next selection of the series should have upgraded graphics as well as gameplay. The graphics elicit a greater sense of detail and precision. Furthermore, the player can zoom in and see actual pedestrians walking on the streets of your city. This is similar to the likes of games like Roller Coaster Tycoon 3 where actual riders and pedestrians can be seen, and seen with great detail when zoomed up close. While SimCity 3000 Unlimited was released half a decade before Roller Coaster Tycoon 3, it certainly did not fail in the graphics department. While the graphics are certainly nice for 1999, SimCity 3000 Unlimited feels like a more aesthetic graphically intense SimCity 3000, those who have played the previous SimCity titles will be able to find their way around SimCity 3000 easily.
